Summer Camp Tutorial Service Partnership
Over the last year, members of The Legacy Foundation of SC have worked diligently to help mitigate academic loss due to the impact of Covid19, school shutdowns, and lack of In-person instruction. We were able to pivot our focus and create Virtual Tutoring services during the Covid19 pandemic. This program has evolved into a hybrid of both virtual and in-person to better suit the needs of individual students and their abilities to learn and thrive. We've since expanded from one elementary school to three campuses, and now two Summer camp locations at our local churches.
The Legacy Foundation Of South Carolina is proud to announce its summer partnerships. Our goal is to work in partnership with local agencies to provide summer tutorial services for selected students in an effort to decrease summer learning loss.
* The collaboration with Agape Family Life Center will allow Legacy to pay 2 tutors (teachers) to provide academic support for students, 3 days a week, through the four weeks of Summer Camp - a total of 52.5 hours of service.
* The collaboration with KT Destiny Center will allow Legacy to pay 3 tutors (1 teacher and 2 high school scholars) to provide academic support for students, 4 days a week, through the four weeks of Summer Camp - a total of 64 hours of service.
We will continue in these efforts to support Jasper County students and families.
